Do you mix your own frosting colors, too? Do you have an instruction list for the colors you choose or is it just by trial and error?

frosting colours will depend on the cake some have colour codes others I mix the colours until it looks right +::biggrin

Dino was a self mix colour on the orders of grandson he wanted a green dragon and yes it's supposed to be a sweater

This week I'm making Scoobydoo but that's just a flat cake fron a cake pan I have like this one Image

I'd order a frozen one if it would ship better????? Wow...maybe I better go experiment on the family +::lol also need to do research on flours cause mom's rheumatoid acts up if flour is wheat. Any directions on where to look for cake recipes with substitutions for *wheat* flour?

And I'll let you know what color my fingers are when I start dying the frosting +::lol

@Firefly - Not sure I could post cakes abroad, customs would probably seize them +::biggrin

@ Alikamou - You probably find it's the gluten in the flour that causes the problem for your mum

Here in the uk you can buy gluten free flour called "Doves Farm"

When using it you might find the cake is a little more crumbly but I made a fantasic chocolate fudge cake for a friend who has coeliac disease so can't eat anything with gluten - as you can guess I'm her favourite friend as she loves the scones I make for her too +::biggrin

As for finger colours mine currently are a muddy green +::lol

Thanks for the flour info. Going to hunt that down and since it'll be more crumbly +::lol I'll just sneak in pudding mix to the batch for more moisture +::biggrin

As for finger colors, will probably end up with yellow and blue blending with green. +::biggrin The Cub Scouts won't care if professional or not +::biggrin
