Of course I will sprite for you, DHP! :)

I have RPG Maker XP, but for spriting, I use Paint.Net. +::biggrin I don't have Photoshop, and I've already learned everything about Paint.Net. I have GIMP, too, but Paint.Net is easier than that. :)
I use RMXP for testing the sprite's animation.

Okay, tell me when I'm asking stupid questions but I really know nothing about this!
So how are you making such a sprite?

Well, I usually export a sprite from the RTP stuff in RMXP, and use that as a reference of a base. I then open it in P.N, and do whatever I want to do to it.

Like, if I want to recolor something, I just use the magic wand tool and select all the pixels that are the same color, and then change the hue and/or the saturation. Sometimes I just paste the head of a different sprite on another sprite's body. Those are the easy ways to get a different looking sprite.

But I also sprite different hairstyles or dresses, etc. More often, though, I can just find something really similar to what I want, but it will have bits missing, so I can just fill those in.

Did that answer your question? :)

For the most part, yes. I don't think I'd have the patience. You're doing really well! +::clap

Thank you!

I don't really know how to explain how I make fairly new and different looking sprites. It just kind of... happens, I guess. XD
+::biggrin

It does take a lot of patience... but I'm really into detail and miniatures. +::biggrin And I'm surprisingly good about keeping on with one project until I finish. When it comes to computer art, that is. +::biggrin Not so good when it comes finishing other tasks.

I like writing. I've wrote a book for children, but I don't quite know what to do with it. It's almost impossible to find a publisher.

Ah, the usual complaint! Maybe you should just keep harassing publishers until one of them has enough and publishes it just so you stop. +::biggrin

Publishers suck. They'd rather publish their friends than someone worthy.
That's the glory of being independent, you do not need anyone to publish your work (in my case it's games, also I'm not sure books do so well on the Internet... maybe I'm wrong...)

Someone sounds like he knows from experience......

What is the children's book about?

I do know from experience, I was a writer before being a game developer.
Publishers almost never care for strangers.
