Btw - what's Alf meant to mean originally? In the German version he's also called Alf and it's an abbreviation for an German expression too. So I'd like to know where it really comes from.

ALF - Alien Life Form

I'm with Gin - used to love the show as a kid
I would sneek out of bed (as I had an early curfew) and watch it from the living room door frame until my dad caught me doing it once!
He thought it was cute of me to do that rather than just plain naughty and from then onwards he let me stay up a bit later and watch it on the couch!

Alf just creeps me out. I'd have a heart attack if I saw him outside my house. Perhaps, though, there was something I associated with him when I was a little girl that just makes me feel creepy about him. I don't remember if that would be it or not.

@Enso I also saw it when i was a kid too. In those days, everything that passed on tv was magical, so i liked Alf.^^ I didnt knew Alf ment Alien life Form(never really thought about it^^').

Alf- Alf was the name of a king of Norse legend who was rejected by the maiden he loved. She was so determined to avoid the marriage that she disguised herself as a warrior and went off to war.(Germanic and Norse Names)
