Hum, I prefer the gameplay to the grapthics. It`s better to be a qualtiy game that a qualty graphics. The music is just the addition to the atmosphere, so I like it when it`s good. Originality is always a plus but there are many games based on one thing, so it`s a hard choise...
I like a great storyline and good charactor development over graphics. If it keeps you guessing what's going to happen next then you pay more attention to the finer detils of the dialogue. This for me makes a terrific game, it probably come from all my reading. I didn't get any computer games until I was 14 ( my first game ever was SNES Mystic Quest Legend - a realy crappy game by everyone elses standards but since I'd never seen an rpg before it looked good to me) so until then I read fantasy books.
From my point of view a good game that I'll play till the end must have a good plot. I simply can't stand games that say: "you are the hero, now go finish the all the bad guys,as many as you can find. Why? because you represent the forces of good." Also I like the game that give you options, or at least the illusion that you have an option. Graphics... to be honest I don't really care about that unless I have to buy new hardware in order for the game to work properly. And, at the last, but not the least originality: you can't ask for something to be 100% unique, but at least it should not try to fall for cliches.
In other news: I'm back! You didn't thought I would just disappear, did you?
Doesn't need to be original, but needs to be well written and make sense as a whole. That will make me play the game AND replay it other times, justto se it develop and grow. Also, side quests. I love running around doing small stuff, makes my day.
My dwellings: The Glade and Eridani's Anyway, if I wanted a complex story led by dynamic characters that aren't easily categorised into facile dichotomies of good and bad with no clear arc or easily predicted outcome, I'd have left the theatre and lived my damn life. Brownian
a good story is what matters the most if the story cant catch your eyes you can just go play something else good graphics aren't prior i like small square characters and something new in the gameplay is nice
I really really like opening things. LOL I like going through drawers, closets, chests, etc. to see what's inside. Every time I spot an unopened door or treasure chest my heart skips a beat a little. The more surprises the better!
I love a good story, and good characters, with relationships with each other(love/hate),but with something unique, not the usual, boring stuff(I guess you know many examples,I don't have to say any ).The graphics doesn't have to be 3D and everything, but I like if the colors are good(variety,contrast,etc.).I like well-made maps, too, and a lot of treasure to find(and I totally agree with Harlow )
^My dress for Cloud Ball!Thanks trolls!:D
"Would you love a monsterman? Could you understand beauty of the beast?"
"A wolf in disguise?Me?Oh no,no,no...I'm not even trying to disguise it."
I think a good story line is the best feature of any rpg game. Bad storyline ill get bored. And the game needs lots of goodies. I love finding all these little tidbits that are well hidden.
I have to go along with finding things and exploring. One thing that makes me purchase a game is if I can use the mouse. I would love to be able to find more games in which I can exchange all the characters to level them up. You don't find many that alow that.
