The Book of Legends is great, but nothing beat the amazing LF saga. :)

Asguaard sure does. Nothing beats Asguaard would be the truest statement. :)

Asguaard 2 would be a huge project, pretty much in the league of LS. After all Asguaard was quite a competitor to LF in terms of overall scope and magnitude. As long as my days stupidly remain stuck to 24 hours, I can't do everything. +::O_o

So Asguaard is even ahead of the mighty LF3. Random won't be happy to hear that... +::O_o
Also, I noticed that the odd parts of MM saga seems to sell better than the even ones - so MM5 should certainly sell well. :)

The chart is even more interesting once we take into account that the price of these games varies greatly. Now I see what Indi was talking about, when he mentioned that people prefered long and epic games. I'm really pleased to see that cheaper games do not automatically come on top.

LOL
On Aldorlea MM3 was a great success yup.

Me too. That said, I'm afraid to say it's still more profitable to release smaller games, taken into account how they are so much faster to make... +::Dunno
There are still too many people who don't realize that in a 20-30 dollars game you usually get like 3 or 4x the amount of gameplay in a cheaper one.

Also, I suppose that twice as much content doesn't equal to twice as much work, more something like four times, I guess. I can imagine that polishing and betatesting of a big game can become a nightmare really fast.

Btw, I'm curious - was the success of Asguaard surprising to you? And why do you think it's the best of the best?

Yes it is tougher. Asguaard took 5x longer to make than Millennium. Longer games need more support from the fans if them fans want them to keep being released. If you noticed most devs drop long epics for smaller games. It's no secret why.

Yes very surprising.
I think the beginning is very intriguing, the characters are lovely (Glen, Grom, Rayanne), the game is beautiful and the story itself is one of the best I've written.

And Asguaard is still relatively simple when compared to LF3...

Aldorlea fans obviously want them. +::clap

And you forgot to mention the caverns leading to the Centre of the Earth, together with the Ozone track one of the most impressive dungeons you have ever created, at least for me.

It's a bit deceiving though. Beta-testing all the skills, the teachers etc was tough. Plus the 150 secret places Oo

The center of the Earth has a strong atmosphere too. Really one of the most uncommon areas I designed.
Asguaard is probably the most unique of my games. :)

And has one of the greatest mysteries - that is, what and where is the potion you once mentioned that means that Rayanne gets a happy ending? Will anyone ever find it?
