I know this is a super old thread, but then again, I am late in joining. :)

For me, the best story comes with "Tale of a Common Man". I know this thread was made before this game came out, but wanted to add which story I like the most.

Although this game is listed under "Aldorlea Games", the name "Gemelle Games" also appears on the splash screen. Was this a collaboration with another dev?

Yup, a collaboration.

Look at the results Moonchild ranks quite low but I do not quite agree... altho I guess there is a lot of competition with so many games.

If I had to go by the games on the list, I would have chosen "Moonchild". But none of the games I have played so far had a story that had such an impact on me as the one for "Tale of a Common Man". Also, with this game you never forget the reason why Jerrat left his farm, and why he is on the move. Some stories get so sidetracked that the main reason for starting a journey seems to become rather unimportant. And other stories are just a thin excuse to go off fighting one creature after another.

Yeah CM is very good at reminding you regularly the main plot.

Well, DreamScape is also always reminding you of why you are trapped in a dream, so that means you do have one of your game that does the same thing as Common man.

In Dreamscape, what is better than any other aspect of the game is probably the puzzle like gameplay. The game basically seems like a gigantic puzzle where every element fit at his exact place. Was it difficult to do that in fact, I wonder? +::Dunno

You know I hardly ever write in forums but I hadn't noticed this topic before and wanted to state this is a very hard choice. All of the games listed have great story lines. I think I've replayed LF series more than the others but Millennium story line is by far one of the best ever!!! Although Opaline was very good also and Book of Legends but we could only pick five...

Not to dis the main stream game makers (larger game company sites) but there are very few good story writers out there...or perhaps I'm just biased lol Although most games from other companies are repetitive and mundane Aldorlea still has the best story lines ever! I'm soooo glad that you are still working hard to produce great games!!! +::clap

Also Dreamscape is awesome too this is just too difficult as they're all great!

Thank you, I'm generally very happy with my stories, which I think are original, with many twists and no plot holes. +::music
You should also try a few ones not listed here, such as Witch Hunt and Little Hearts, both with strong stories.
Upcoming Inferno will have a great one too imo.
