Of course it contains spoilers aha.

So I'm going to put my suggestions in a spoiler tag, feel free to add your own suggestions as I may very well be overlooking some, over the course of 13 games it would even be normal.

As you can imagine, I LOVE plot twists, so I'd be very happy to hear what you old (or even new) Aldorlea fans have most remembered.

That's a lot to choose from, and actually, given the way you write your stories, there are in fact more plot twists than just those. But sticking to what you've listed, I shall put my reply in a spoiler, so as not to spoil your spoiler (if you see what I mean)

Spoiler: show
Of the 3 in LF, I'd put the meteor at the top, partly because it was so unexpected and the consequences potentially so negative. There had already been quite a number of hints etc., ahead of Sandy's abduction for that to be a real surprise. I'd never actually thought of the GC hiding in the rubbish bin as being that much of a plot twist. Much more was the need to beat the other 2 to get out.

MM3 and Jeanne - yup, quite unexpected and a great way to solve the dilemma. Of the MM4 suggestions, burning down the Bear's house was the best.

In Asguaard both the framing of Glen and Rayanne becoming the Stone of Soul were great twists, difficult to choose between them.

Obviously in MC and TBOL the twists were the only ones. In Sylia, definitely the fact that the pets took over.

Now to try and pick the best - almost impossible
Having sat and stared at the screen for a bit, I'm going to go for Rayanne in Asguaard. But really it's very hard to say that one is better than another.

Actually, it's just as well I put it in a spoiler, as otherwise it would have been a bit of a wall of text.

Good topic.

Good topic.

Thank you. :)

I would say that
Spoiler: show
the Rayanne part is one of the best thing I've come up with. This is partly because of its ending that I rank Asguaard so high in my personal hierarchy of my works.

Although I absolutely LOVED
Spoiler: show
Jeanne and Piu-Piu saving the day in MM3 and MM4, respectively (LOOK! PIU-PIU ISN'T USELESS!!! +::YAY ),

I have to say, 100%, that my all time favorite Aldorlea Surprise was
Spoiler: show
SYLIA: PETZ ON DA QUEST!!!!! 8) 8) 8)

That was SUCH a terrific and fresh change of pace, and it really set the tone for a fabulous game.

LOVE this topic, Indy. +::Thumbup +::Thumbup +::Thumbup

Thank you so much everyone for your replies. I encourage other "old" players to give their opinion as it makes for a very interesting read for me.

Aggeliki,
Spoiler: show
the meteor is in LF2 (and analyzed in LF3)

Also very glad
Spoiler: show
so many people pick Rayanne's death.

I wouldn't even TRY to guess, Indy; your twists are too original and unexpected. And the one twist you've hinted at makes me weep just THINKING about it, so I am not gonna go there. +::fear +::fear +::fear

All the twists and turns in your games are great and I may be totally mistaken because it has been a while but
Spoiler: show
It wasn't just Rayanne who was lost but Grom died as well leaving only Glen and Luby to carry on. That was a shocker

The best plot twist? It depends...
But I won't judge them by being thrilling or things like that for now, instead I'll choose those that "caught me off-guard", i.e. they were shocking, not "only" surprising:
Spoiler: show
Jordan has the demon inside him - maybe expectable for someone, but definitively not for me.
Piu-Piu saves the day in the sewers - well, who could expect that?
The Meteor - I expected anwers and instead - BAM!
The pets take over the quest - just crazy! +::clap
