I hope you also got both of the secret rooms while you were there. At least I think they both are counted that way.

Not sure what you mean, but you can find secret rooms anytime - even much later in the game.
A +1 is added to the total count whenever you enter in one the first time.

Oh I believe you about them being found even later on in the game. The two I mentioned are in the area where you find Sarah in her bikini bathing at the start of the game. One is on the far right edge, and the other one is up around the chest location in the upper left side. I could probably make it easier to find them if needed. I have a save file which should let me go to the area and take screenshots of both locations if desired.


Oh yeah, that strength requirement for pulling the sword during first part of trial is very tricky as well.
