Have finished main quests, now working on leveling up for colyseum. Is there any way I can go back to the sewers? Would like to try for the Xabaldarus Mask drop which didn't drop the first time I went through.

Yes, you can get back. Enter the library and to the left, there's a blue arrow now.

Saw that, but it won't let me through. Did I miss doing something when I was in the sewers to open that door?

No, you just need to walk down to the wall and then go left. You can sneak past that wooden thingy and the door can be opened.
