Saving the game

Is there any way to save your progress in the game other than the bunnies? So many sections are really long. . . the marshlands, for example. . . and I don't want to sit and play for hours until finding another bunny. It's enough to make me sorry I bought the game.

Yes unfortunately, you can't save anywhere, but most maps do have a bunny, and if there isn't a bunny in one map, there usually is in the next one. They are often enough. And you can always go back to the bunnies you found to save? :)

Also, if you really get that low on health and don't have enough restoratives, you can always use Random's Egress spell to get back to safety, rest and then continue exploring.

Thanks for the feedback. . . my issue is not so much with health, but with the time required to complete an area and/or find a bunny. It just takes too long. . . so I'm giving up what was an otherwise fun game.

It's just too tedious. . . the constantly respawning enemies plus the LONG stretches between chances to save just drain all the fun out of it for me. Thanks anyway!

Maybe you could restart the game and pick an easier mode or a lower encounter rate? :)

txmimi: 3SoD is a game where exploration and game mechanisms knowledge makes a huge difference. There are many secret areas, bonus items and other various well hidden stuff. If you are missing most of these bonuses, than it has a snowball effect on your gameplay. You are unable challenge many of the optional bosses and enemies, meaning your party powers fall even more behind.
If you are struggling with normal enemies, you are already lagging behind, and the game only becomes more and more frustrating for you. I strongly suggest you to start again on lower difficulty. I know it can be frustrating, but trust me, if you manage to overcome the challenge, finishing 3SoD is very rewarding.

I can only agree with what Tomas said.
When I first played 3 Stars I didn't like it very much for the same reasons. It was also the marshlands where I first felt that it was just too big and too annoying.
I have to say though that 3 Stars was among the first RPG games I ever played, and that wasn't a good idea. It's not a game for beginners.
Also, it was my first random encounter game, which didn't make things better.
Years later I played the game again, and ever since it's become one of my favorite games. Really, the best part of the game still lies ahead. +::clap
