stuck in desert

I loved this game until 4 days ago. Can anyone tell me how to get out of this desert? What am I missing? I "think" I have checked every nook and cranny, but nothing.

There are 3 sections in the desert? One with the healing guy and merchant, one with 2 people and the other with chests. I have been thru all 3 and still can't find the way to Adretana. I guess I will have to wait for the detailed walk-thru. I am so frustated.
