Equipping cigar

How do I equip Marion with the Gable's cigar? It's in the Items list, but it's not an option when I try to equip it.

I don't remember if you equip in accessories or in her right hand. Try looking in it, or maybe it's not her who is able to equip. It's been a long time since I played Laxius Force, that's why I can't give you concrete information.

According to the walkthrough, Marion is the one who's supposed to be equipped. I did try the other characters, and I checked all the other weapon/armor possibilities. Wendala can wear the hat that gives mercantile points, but no luck with Marion and her cigar.

Maybe you missed the cigar no? Have you checked your items?

Yes, it's right there in my Items list, right along with the other things I bought at the Thieves Guild. It just doesn't want to be used, apparently.

Hooray! I just tried again, and now Random can equip it as an accessory. I don't know what changed, but as long as this works, I'll take it.

iirc, it's always Random who equips this to bump up his persuasion points.
