blue genie in Ancient cave

I am trying to beat the Genie Guy and keep getting killed. any ideas on how to beat him?

I just did that myself so I can tell you how it worked for me.

I had Marine call Jeanne on the first turn, followed by her Red Orb power which boosts everyone else's attacks, Benoit was initially using Iron Hand on the boss and then Wind Hand or attacking, Karine was attacking or using restorative itens all the time and Hirado was doing Barrier (you need this to minimize the attack from the boss which can wipe you out quite easily otherwise), Dust Cloude and White Orb. I used Jeanne only to heal. Still it took me 10min... I kept killing the minions as they sprang back to life and stunning/putting it to sleep/paralyzing the boss, also you might need to use Marine's Red Orb several times and keep attacking it until it goes!
Oh and I was playing in normal mode with levels 33, 32, 32 and 26!

Thanks, wish I had known about Karine's Defragmentation skill then - wondering how it would have worked!

Anyway, I'll try to give you my full feedback tomorrow as it requires a longer and more thoughtful answer from my part!

i did it finally found him and I did it.

I used first Marine red orb, Beniot iron hand, karine attack & Hirado barrier
Then Marine attacked, beniot Iron hand, Karine attack Hirado white orb
When any minions appear I use Maxine and Karine to take them out and keep Beniot & Hirado using iron hand & white orb respectively. I also used Karine to top up HP & MP when needed.

Didn't use Jeanne as the first time I tried I got slaughtered

I'm playing normal mode and levels are M 39 B 38 K 37 & H 35

I did it!!! I did it!!!! Finally.

Worked on killing that darling genie for five hours, finally re-read the posts and realized that I was not using barrior.

Barrier is the Key, along with the stun and paralize. did it the first time out when I started using barrier

I have a question, is Genie and the Demon in the Templo the same?

I hope they are lol lol lol.
btw I already light all the pillars.
The Golden door w/ 2 statue and that I found the grand legacy it's open, I am going in to kill the Genie.
Beside those glass doors that opens the Golden door, is there more glass door to open?
If there is, how do you open then?

Yep, they are! Good luck fighting it!

So far no one else found a way to open any more doors in that temple - maybe in MM2!
