Darwin in the Forge

Does this guy EVER get back from vacation, or is he independently wealthy and just keep the place open for a hobby and to bust chops.

EVERY time I go in he is STILL on vacation, and I've got a sneakin' hunch some of the other stuff on my 'todo' list depends on him getting back to work... c'mon Darwin, enuf already!

You get 5 or 6 things from him starting at the very beginning of the game. If you get all he has to offer, he gives you a reward before he goes on vacation and I think he is done until the next installment.

Well, thats not so hot.... So, can I finish out ep. 1 without his input. Actually, I can, because I've wiped out the oooonasties in the Sapphire cave megaplex, and all I have to do is fade into the sunset with the rest of my motley crew. But I'm noodlin' around, mopping up loose ends before I HAVE to call in a wrap for now (that's how much I adore this game!) If he's got anything to do with this 'ere cracked mirror I'll just SPIT.....

Note for Indy, chalk one up for the negative column in what I think about this game.... +::Annoyed +::grrr

Every time I've gone there, he's offered items I couldn't afford. Are all these items necessary? I thought he'd keep those not taken on supply so when you had the money to come back you could get them all.

Not necessary but nice to have and if you buy one of each of them you get a nice reward.

That's what I've been doing...I can never afford anything he has. Once again, an issue with a lack of money has come up.

It seems this game expects you to spend a LOT of time fighting enemies to get the items they have so you can sell them and buy these items from this gnome right away.

In future games, I hope to see the value of items go way up. I imagine this issue has been addressed already, since this game is older now...

Maybe Indinera could consider making a patch for this game that increases the value of certain items, such as common drops like bear meat and such.

I imagine that would make a lot of people happy, including myself. +::Thumbup

I believe the meats have higher value and are dropped more often. :)

Indinera, can you get the items from the forge once he has gone on vacation?

I'm not Indinera but you can't. And he won't sell you items in MM2 either. After Hirado joins your party he goes to vacation. But if you did buy all the items he gives you a gift.
