Drops from Monsters

I am working on a list of items that can be found/bought/acquired in this game. Has anyone gotten anything from the Tentacle King (Octopus) in Scarlet River as a Random Drop that they remember?

I have killed him at least 25 times in the last hour and the best I could get was 2 Mandragore Dusts from the sidekicks, the Eating Ivys.

Usually you get some kind of drop from these guys but sometimes Indy makes you work for them.

I have leftover items from other quests that I wondered about selling. 3 Green Snakes, 1 Purple Grape, stuff like that. Should I keep them or is it okay to sell them.

Ok. I got it after many many battles. He drops a Papatapio Root. Which means you can technically get more at the Alchemy Contest if you have both of the Roots unless they only count 1 of each item.

The alchemy contest only counts 1 object of each type, so keep it or sell it, not sure if I would for now though!

You got an extra grape??? Oh boy - where?

Any chance you want to add to the list all the objects Karine can craft, where to find them and which possible objects she can turn them to?

Maybe you can post what you have and we all can complement it when possible!

Does anyone remember where the Jouvencelle came from? or the Hero Key? For some reason, neither of them is ringing a bell. I've slept since then and my memory is not what it used to be.

Not so sure about the Hero Key... I'll try to have a look through my saves and to see if I can guess when it pops up!

Have Marine Cast Call Jeanne and then defend. Have Jeanne Attack and Heal as needed.

Mandragore Dust - From Elder Ivy where you find Jack & James Purse
Have Marine Cast Call Jeanne and then attack. Have Jeanne Attack and Heal as needed.

Papatapio Root - Random drop from Tentacle King (only one is needed for the quest and the one is Scarlet River is easier to get. This one took many many battles and reloads to get.
Have Marine Case Call Jeanne and then Attack. Have Benoit cast Iron Hand until he is stunned, then Wind Hand until you get Armor Break and then Attack. Keep an eye on him. If stun wears off, have him cast Iron Hand again. Have Jeanne Attack and Heal as needed.

Titan Skin - Drop from Rogue Croc.
Titan Tooth - Random Drop from Rogue Croc (you can get both) Second time thru I think I had to kill him 5 or 6 times to get both.
First go to the left of the pad where the bird is and pray at the altar. It gives between 30-40 hit points to each of your party members. Then heal all so they are at 100% HP. I used Croc Meat on the ones that needed MP and other items on the ones that didn't.
Marine - Cast Call Jeanne, then Red Orb, then attack. Keep an eye on them and if the Boost wears off Cast Red Orb again. Benoit - Cast Iron Hand until the Rogue is stunned, the Wind Hand until Armor Break, then attack or heal as needed. Karine - Cast Fighting Spirit, then attack. I had Karine equipped with the Skewer Javelin even though I had a stronger weapon because it can stun. Jeanne - Attack or heal as needed. If Karine already has Counter Hits and the Rogue is not stunned, she and the Rogue may get into a back and forth fight until Karine is dead. Have Benoit revive her and keep on.

Draken Eye - Random Drop from Draken on Bridge in Sapphire Cave. I think it took 5 or 6 times to get it.
Have Marine cast Call Jeanne, the Red Orb, then attack. Have Benoit cast Iron Hand until he
is stunned, then attack. Keep an eye on his condition and recast Iron Hand as needed. Have Karine cast Fighting Spirit, then attack. Jeanne - Attack or Heal as needed.

Zombies random drop Witch Balms.
I don't know if there's a difference but my Karine has crafted a Titan Great Corset not a Titan Corset
I think the First Aid Box comes from the witch house in Bogobaka
Started wondering if the Hero Key is not the drop from the Ant King...?!
I have 7 Growth Eggs not sure where I got them though...
