The area where you find Hirado, I think he's there, anyway its east of the monastry where you first meet Balnard
when there 3 guys trying to take Balnards money.

Well, to reach the monastery, you must go through the path that Karine told you.

Thanks for the quick reply. I just found the way to get to the place just before the sapphire caves.
You go to the monastry then east past the steps and keep going down then you come out into a green area
then go aroundand fight the big monsters before going into the saphire caves.
