Burglaring?

Why is it that Random is able to "burglar" some houses but not others? Some just reply that the "burglaring" failed.

It is probably because your burglary points are way too low for those houses. You can earn more points by working in the Thieves Guild. However, access to it is revoked for a major part of the Laxius saga. If you are playing LF1 and have already reached Adretana, than its not possible to go there.
