Healing the ill girl in Shumen

It's driving me nuts and I most enjoy wiping off my quest list. So any suggestions or hints on how to heal the ill girl in Shumen?

I mean I first thought that perhaps that guru in Eternal Autumn would do something about it, but he only tells my party that he won't waste one of his roots when there is noone ill with me; on the other hand I don't get the ill girl to come with me...

I have a feeling that this is a quest that needs to be done early. Before your fighters get too strong to be poisoned or venomed.

I think you need Marine to get venomed and keep her alive by healing without curing the venom condition until you get to the Guru and then he will give you the herb and you can take it back to the girl.

Just my opinion. Probably wrong though.

First post, so sorry if I haven't done a spoiler right.

Fight giant spider and become infected with pox. After fight go back to autumn woods and the guru will give you root DON'T use it but go back to Shumen and use on sick girl. You dont need to go back for a second root as sleeping in the inn there will cure your own people of it.
