Quite honestly (and apologies to those who actually find it beautiful), to me that last one looks like surgeries have terribly gone wrong. This could be a stunning artwork (although I still can't figure out how Sarah can stand in such a twisted way), but the way their boobs have been drawn totally spoils the whole thing. Just imo, of course, and really no offense intended!

The Laxius Force series didn't have the most professional of artworks. If you look at the Millennium series, girls seem perfectly normal to me.

Absolutely, the MM artworks are the bestest ever. I like them much more than any other artworks in any other games (although others are very good too, of course).
However, it's not the quality of the artworks I was talking about, but ... dimensions.

And regarding that the old ones were much better. Imo, as usual.

They are supposed to be young in the 3 Stars artworks.
And it also depends on the type of the artwork, MM ones are more realistic, LF ones are more like american comics.

Actually I agree with Cassiopeia, they do look like they've had cosmetic surgery gone wrong in the 3 Stars picture - and even American comics don't go quite that far.
And being young does not explain their shape. If anything, young teenagers (which is what they are supposed to be) would look more like Marine.
