Hell World

Sounds good to me. If that's the case, the I assume for every mode thereafter it will be open, and as such I can beat the other modes so that I can choose to bring along the extra characters when I choose to tackle it. (I could be wrong, but I guess that's what that save is for).

OK. I have played Nightmare twice. Both times with the extra characters. One time I skipped all of the Dreamlords with the Magical Hourglass. The next time I killed everything and I mean everything. And I still don't get Hell World. I am at a loss of what to do next. I haven't played a Pure Nightmare but am at the point where I'm not really interested in finding Hell World because I've played so many times.

What is the secret to getting Hell World in a mode that is not Pure Nightmare? Or do I have to play Pure Nightmare to get. If so, I will never see it.

Yes, you've got to play pure in order to unlock it. It somewhat defeats the purpose in a way (or so I feel), but for those that like to play one game over and over again... well, I guess it's right up their alley. I've unlocked it, but now I'm feeling worn out. If I go through it, it'll be on the easier modes, just so I can finish unlocking the rest of the bonuses.
I started my first play on Dream, so I missed out on the other two sets of bonus materials.

Dee, you do have to play pure nightmare to gain access to the Hell World.

And I think you will see it!
Don't underestimate all you've learned by playing through the game several times before attempting pure nightmare. (I played through 4 times before playing pure nightmare.) Now you know the relative difficulties of all the monsters, and you've got some good strategies for beating them, you know about carrots, you know where all the secret stashes of resources are, and by knowing how the last fights go, you know what stats (strength, resistance, spirit, agility) to develop in your characters. I think you can do it!

Thanks. I'm sure I can do it too, but right now the game is just boring me to tears. I play 10 minutes and quit. So maybe by sometime next July I will have finished.

The game isn't boring at all. I like it a lot but I played Very Easy once touching the crystal, then again without touching the crystal, then Utopia once without touching, Dream once without touching and Nightmare twice without touching. I know what everyone is going to say before they say it.

I need to let it get old so I can play again without remembering exactly where everything is.
