The rock (I guess it's a rock) on the walkway between Pinkie and the Old Man, gives off a purple swirly thing when you touch it. How do I break it?

The black rocks that hurt you when you touch them; are these the same or is something else needed to break them?

White rocks; 1st one you encounter is in the desert next to the water, then in the snowy place.

What do I need to break these and where can I find these items?

White Rock - Snow gloves which you get later on the game.

Black Rock - White Cross which you get later again

I can't get through the jailhouse without breaking the black rocks. Can you maybe be more specific?

DO you have the white cross? If you have, equip her.
