How to get to pit of amnesia

Hi I'm stuck in the Jailhouse. I'm trying to get over to the farthest left area in the Jailhouse (on the map called Jailhouse Up Left in Terry's Dog Dream Maps). I *think* this is how I get to the pit, but all of those pillars are in the way. Am I just not seeing a way through?? Thanks for your help.

The pillars in the way are intentional. You get there by the other side.
Past the dragon statues which spews fire balls.
