Um I just started nightmare went to spring woods and started the first fight. And um WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT!!! Lol I cant even beat a butterfly. Im starting from scratch and Im wondering if its POSSIBLE to beat this mode lol. Please does anyone have any tips concerning being able to fight!??!?! HELP!

The best thing to do is to use the Carrot Transformation of Peeboo, and of course, collect the boosts before battles. It helps a lot. And make sure to collect armors too.

It's definitely possible to beat pure nightmare, but it is VERY difficult. Pure nightmare is the hardest mode in the game. You really have to think your way through.

You will be going back and forth between dreams more than in the other modes. Choose your fights carefully. Try to improve your stats, get better weapons and armor as soon as possible. Don't forget that toga lying on the ground right outside Cairo. Leave boosts behind until you really need them, and remember to boost mind before using experience baskets. Use Carrot Transformation only when it gives you more experience than you would get by killing the original monster...

I havent even gotten past spring woods yet!!! lol dont even have Peeboo! Its super hard cause I dont want to use my restorive items, but its hard not to when enimes are super hard and you have like no health. What I like to do (did it in other modes) is with clochette and Peeboo get him to turn an enemy into a carrot and use clohettes low heal spell on everyone. It takes forever, but it works. This is gonna one tough crazy adventure! Cant beat those Gadam Trees...

Yes, I'm playing the game for the first time on Nightmare and its not that hard. Just start with the basic enemies and don't forget that you don't have to complete an area all in one go. Each dream has difficult areas so explore all the dreams up to the bits that get hard and you'll gain good experience to continue on-to harder areas. Oh and search for those secret areas as they are full of goodies.

Great game Indie, my favourite of yours so far. The headphones and health pickups concepts are brilliantly done! Reminds me of a game called Psychonauts....

My little brother actually beat it, but he had a really tough time with dream lords.

there are various strategies for this mode, i know i was able to beat it without using the healing in lostham
