Hi, this is a great game, but i have a hard time enjoying it fully for two reasons:

1. The game freezes on my win7, almost always when getting items. Also, randomly throughout the game.
"The RGSS stopped ...." error.
The ini file refers to rgss102e.dll. this file has a date from year 2005.
Perhaps you can check and send me a recent version? suited for win7?
*Just a note - i played EE succesfully, their ini refers to RGSS202E.dll

2. Also, i like the adventure a lot, but the fighting... not so much. Perhaps i can send you my saved file and you can modify it to make all my fighting easier? like: bonuses to make my party very strong and protected?
*I did so when playing EE- they equipped all my party members with special rings.

Hi, here are my suggestions.

1. This website has all the latest versions of all my games.
If you want to be sure, download directly from this link:

In general, always try to download from Aldorlea, as it is the best way to have the best and most up-to-date versions of all the games.

2. In some computers, sounds and music can cause the game to freeze. To turn off both, press F1 and unnotch both last options.

3. Dreamscape's Ataraxia Mode will allow you to play the game in its easiest mode. You can decide which mode you want to play at the beginning of the game.

Hi, tried your suggestions, with no luck:

1. downloaded from your site - the same "RSSS stopped working" error.

2. unchecked sound - didn't help

3. i am in the easiest mode, still feel that fighting is too hard - especially purple.

So, do you have any other suggestions? perhaps you looked at the possibily to use RGSS202E? (as i said earlier, the EE worked perfectly on my win7 64 bit)

EE is not made with the same engine so I'm not sure how it would help.
If you want, try it. Copy/paste EE's 202 DLL then open Dreamscape.ini in Dreamscape's folder and where it calls the old "102" replace it by RGSS202E. Let me know if it works!

hi, i did tried that already - got an runtime error(obviously, these dlls are not the same)
is it possible to make a version on that newer engine?

also, tried compatibility and admin permissions - the same err.

i saw this in some forum:
Crash with the error message "RGSS player stopped working."
One of the most common fixes is to install the ffdshow codec: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/audio ... fdshow.cfm

can you look at it? i dont know what are they talking about(ffdshow codec).

I would need to know if all the other games do that or if it just Dreamscape.

tried 3Stars just now - got the same error upon opening.

now downloading bool of legends - will let you know

The same msg, when pressing continue with the free trial, on both of the above games.

Please also tell me when exactly the error occurs.

On the start screen, when "continue with the free trial " is pressed, the same in all three games.

so you can't begin the game (ie see the splash screens)
I'm a bit confused, you said it was happening when picking an item, in Dreamscape.

in the dreamscape from gamehouse -mostly when picking up items (and also randomly)

in the 3 games dowloaded from your link - when pressing the free trial. (dreamscape, book of legends, 3Stars)

the gamehouse version should be the same as the one here though.
are you able to get a window of the game to open?

let's retrace what's happening. you get the window about purchasing showing up. you click on free trial. then error message? could you take a screenshot of it and post it here?
