Tried it, got her killed (very easily lol) in the fight with the zombies when you check the cube looking to the right, and guanidia talks. It triggered the usual game over screen and teleported her back in the house (no crash).
Can you make a screenshot of the crash you get?

Plus I have a dial up connection which makes downloading very slow

I just uninstalled my original version, downloaded this one, and was informed when I tried to install it that it has "invalid data." I think I give up.

Here is what happen when i crash in Alexandra's dream (after losing Tatxux fight or any fight after in the dark cave):

Where is the Tatxux fight? And are you sure about the "any fight"?
I'm able to lose plenty of fights there normally..... from which place are you entering the dream?
(sorry for the many questions but i'm just trying to figure out what's going on)

For Yveen, from LF2 to LF3 yes.

For the dream:
I enter it in the house in Mt. Zulle.

I'll divide the dream then, lol:
1)Guanidia+Cube room = fine. Progress through the south part.

2)Season room: I go straight for the paper
I go with Random= summer Sarah=spring Luciana=autumn Wendala=winter

3)Now i'm in a weird room with Random, Brussian, an orc, a mermaid, a nasty fish, a few drinks and the dark cave in the north.

The dark cave is where I fight Tatxux+a red minotaur after looking there more than a few times.
If i lose that fight, I crash. The next fight is against zombies. The same happen if I lose that fight. For the fight after that, i can't say for certain if it crashes.

A few more:
-Angelina speaks in the royal library when you open the last door even if you don't bring her.
-After the royal library part with Djarma, Lily magically joins the party at lv1 in Kondler.
-When Marilyis joins, it says Cocka-Cocka joins the party and she isn't available in the party list.

I uninstalled the game as instructed......did the new download and I still crash at the same time. The error message I get is this.....Errno-ENOENT-no such file or directory Graphics/Characters/Faces. This is very discouraging...I paid $30 bucks for the game and an additional amount for the guide. What now? This really is getting to be a real headache. Is this ever going to be fixed? I have XP

Talking to Herbert and Joshua in Coryool camp triggers a dialogue with Luciana and Random, then they join.

Bug?
Isabelle 8 childrens quest isn't available after you speak to her like the mage advise you or at the mage counter.
-I haven't completed the bird quest, so it may be related.

Minor bug:
After the 7 element caves, you see Nash face when Kratin talk

Typo:
After the 7 elements cave, when back in Kondre, Luciana talk about Petula and says ''she''
