The Light Sword is a normal skill that he learns, unlike the Phoenix abilities which is unique.
In the Book:

Hi D-Squall, I like to know, if I will be able to import my save file from Nexus 1 to Nexus 2, as I am trying to have a good save file ( so far all characters 35 and $145,000). thank you

Yeah, import savefiles will be available.

sorry to ask, but when do you expect to have Nexus 2 out?. I really enjoyed playing Nexus 1 and really waiting for the 2nd part.
