It's a place called Herakles, in the final island (the desert one).
There are a bunch of giants in the village, the one at the top sells good stuff including that axe.

Leave Vermelha by the north exit. Take one step up and seven right. This brings you to a V shape in the mountains. Go down and you enter the forest. Go right, up, left to the NW corner; click on the smoking camp fire. She and Pacha appear and attack you. Win the fight and she joins.

I have no idea why you wouldn't be able to enter there, unless it's time-limited? I didn't think it was, but perhaps Indinera could confirm one way or the other.

The entrance to the woods is not time-limited, but you have to activate the quest to be able to enter the woods.

It basically boils down to picking one out of 4 girls, and the outcome of this is the result of your choices throughout the game.
