I may have 3-4 fights in a row that it will take upwards of a minute to set each person's selected attack then all is fine again for a fight or two. I'm really enjoying the game but this is ruining it for me.

On another note, I noticed that changing formation does NOT change the attack rotation, and I think it should as most games do this.

Just a silly thing but in Cyrus' Magic Wall description, turns is misspelled - it says truns.

Yup, seems like your processor cannot handle the game. We really overdid it with our first game. >.<
Who is going to attack first, second and so on, is decided by the game according to the Agility stat of the character, not their position in the formation. The Formation is more of an aesthetic thing for the players, it doesn't affect gameplay at all.

In the Long Lost Caves how do you get past the blockages of what looks likes cave entrances.

Also how do you like up the dark cave.

Really enjoying the game do have the crash issue as well but save often.

Thanks.

In the long lost caves you are not able to enter these caves. They exist for atmospheric and decorative reasons. In general, if something is blocked by decorative graphics, like trees, rocks and pillars, you cannot enter. This rule doesn't affect moveable objects, like the rocks that can be moved by Donna.
Sorry, but Dark Cave remains dark. >.< It was supposed to be even darker and we changed it before release! I hope it's not a big issue.
Thank you for your nice words and for saving often!

About the crashes; try upgrading to version 1.4.7 (some posts back in this thread).

It will keep me from a purchase even though the price is excellent and I have enjoyed the game so far. It should not take 5 minutes to battle 2 opponents. The ability to move the cursor via keyboard arrows is most likely hampered by too many animations on each screen. For example, I don't need those sparkles to get me to check every place possible.

I am running windows 10 on the following system:
Toshiba Laptop C-55C
Intel N3700, 1.6 GHz, 64bit processor
8Gb memory

Also, your beta testers missed a situation in the demo where the "silence" icon is used in conjunction with the ability to counteract "confusion". Minor, but an indicator of possible future gaming problems testers did not observe/report.

I also had the game shut down once just after saving. The save was sucessful, but......

Just my 1.5 cents because I think there is potential here. +::Thumbup

Hello and thank you for your nice words! Unfortunately, after checking your processor, you are at the exact minimum or lower of the requirements to play the game, that is why the demo battles are slow (by a whooping 0.2-0.3 ghz). :( I'm surprised that not all of them have problems. Thanks for trying out the demo first, before buying.

In general, the demo was made to be intense, to simulate the core game's performace, so if you cannot run the demo properly or you experience lag, you definitely will have problems with the full verion.

PS: I checked about the icon, but couldn't find any issues. Could you direct me to the skill or item that has the problem?

UPDATE
The Deal update. (Version 1.4.7)

Fixes:
*Fixed the Ancient Spirit battle (in-combat) lag with the troop that has three of those. Battle should be in normal speed and responsivity.
*Fixed a tile misplace in the Ruins of Daath dungeon, after the floating mantle artifact was taken.
*Booting up the game is by 1-2 seconds faster now (wow).
*Maybe the final boss is a bit stronger now... maybe.
Potential Fix:
*Some general lag may have been decreased or disappeared completely.

How to:
Q: How do I know if I have the latest version?
A: Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Orfeas Game Studio\The Deal\The Deal\The Dealv1.4.7. If the last folder is indeed 1.4.7, then you have the updated version. Otherwise, you can update to the latest version. In general, if you bought the game AFTER this post's date, then you have the newer version.

Q: How to update?
A: Uninstall the current version of the game. Redownload the game and install. Done.

Q: What files will be lost in the process? Saves? Configuration data?
A: Nothing. Your saves and everything else remains intact.

I hope this update will fix some issues with the game. Thanks to everyone who took a minute to write their problems in the forum. Keep in mind of the System Requirements and check out the Demo before purchasing. This game is a bit... taxing on some laptops and PCs and the demo was created with that in mind. If you can't run the demo, then you will not be able to run the game itself.
Be sure, your processor is powerful enough to handle the game. Check cpuboss.com for an analysis of your cpu!

The item in error is the Hard Leather Cap worn by Cyrus.

What are the "Battle Camera" and "Monitor FPS (frames per second?) Sync"? I have turned off all options and am running at full screen mode. I also noticed [Alt][Enter] doesn't change screen size. Is that an RPGmaker issue now?

I went to the RPGmaker site and read the minimums for the engine you're using and the advantages. I would consider upgrading VX Ace for those features, but I'm not buying a new laptop for years.

So there's nothing that can be done for the keyboard arrow slowness problem? What a shame. +::cry

Is anyone else, who was having speed issues in the demo, still having battle speed problems after the full game update mentioned above? I'd really like to buy the game, but I don't have the patience to wait for the cursor to move between blinks. +::Zzzz

To go fullscreen and back, please use the Fullscreen option in the Options menu of the F4 key. It's by far superior that just maximizing the window. The FPS Synch, will force your monitor to synchronize with the game, reducing lag on-map. The game runs natively at 60 frames per second. This javascript plugin is not made by us, but by Yanfly. The battle camera is not used too much, so it doesn't really matter if it's on or not. Better have it on, though, but it's optional.

Extra Controls, in case you need them: F2 for FPS count. F4 for shortcut to fullscreen. F5 for reset. (these are default RPGmaker MV controls).

I'm sorry you couldn't run the game. Let's wait and see if people with the same issue as you, are running the game better after the update.

PS: Thank you for pointing out the mistake in the description. In the next update of the demo, we will fix it.

I've installed the update. Things are going better but some fights are still slow, just not as slow as before the update.

I have 8 gigs of memory and 3.60 Ghz Intell processor. This isn't fast enough? I can't find what your minimum requirements are for the game. Perhaps you should post it so people will be aware before they purchase it.

I'll talk to Indinera about posting them somewhere. I'm happy that the situation got better by just a single update. If you don't mind, could you post in which battles did you experience lag? We are keen on fixing as many problems as possible with future updates!
The lag in-battle occurs with some specific enemies, that have a lot of colors, so we need to, first of all, indentify these enemies. One enemy was caught and fixed with this update!

Your setup is more than fine for our game, by the way. :)

I really like this game. The problem is my internet security closed the game while I was playing and deleted it from my computer. The message said it was infected. I redownloaded it but Kaspersky won't let me play. I get a message saying Kaspersky has deleted it from my computer. Any suggestions?

We answered your email, sorry I didn't catch your post in the forums. Just to repeat for everyone on the forum, we assure you that the game is 100% malware free. If there is a problem with a specific antivirus program, try to exclude our game from an "Exclude Program" option. Most, if not all antivirus programs have this option for this reason. Otherwise contact the antivirus' forums for suggestions.
Keep in mind to update the game to the newer version (there is a post in this thread), because we had a javascript plugin running that was trying to search for updates and removed it. Maybe such plugins are no-no for security programs.

I'm pretty sure I've done all the side quests available to me as yet. The only places I haven't visited over and over are across water. I think I remember a message alluding to an ancient artifact allowing the wearer to walk on water. I'm not sure what the 4 ancient artifacts are. I have ancient glasses and ancient caracan armor (I think I got that from a treasure chest). I'm stuck in the Long Lost Caves wondering what the 4 number code is. I've received hints like "Maybe we already have the code?" and "Maybe this code is written somewhere?" and even found "Deal=3" written on the entrance signpost, but none of this is helpful to me. I've read all the books in my key items to no avail and searched throughout the cave system without finding anything. Help please?

Hello! The ancient artifacts that give extra abilities are: Power Gloves, Enchanted Mantle and Ancient Glasses. Other ancient items or artifacts will just boost your battling abilities. And, no, there is no artifact that lets you walk on water. There are items that boost your water elemental damage, though.

The code for that Otherworld gate is SPOILER AHEAD
Spoiler: show
written on the Merciful Knife. To get it, you need to give 30 ectoplasmic orbs to the ghost in the Long Lost Caves. If you check the desciption of the knife, it will have a number. That number is what you need. If you gave less Ectoplasmic Orbs to the ghost, you will not get the knife and so, you will not be able to open this Otherworld Gate.
The Deal=3 is something else, like a demonically different thing.
I sincerely hope you're having fun with the game.
Oh! By the way, you got the Ancient Carcan Armor! That has a 0.1% to drop! You are really lucky! It's the best armor for Donna in the game!

Oh, I would have NEVER found it.

Spoiler: show
Since the knife can't be equipped, I never looked at it again.

But I have been quite persistent in getting the best items from the treasure chests. I saved up 15 of them and kept reopening to find what was available. Still trying to get the 2nd Secret Ritual Robe. Jonathan was very jealous that Myrella got the first one. ;)

Donna is now equipped with Chaac's Mace, Crystal Shield, Carca's National Hat, and the Ancient Carcan Armor. She is fully prepared to do whatever it takes to uncurse her friend. Don't mess with Donna! +::biggrin

As always, thanks for the help. And, yes, I am fully enjoying the game.

So happy that you're enjoying the game! And by the way...... Chaac's Mace has 0.1% chance to be dropped, too..... you should go to a casino or something.

Soon as I find a casino with slot machines that give let me quit-nosave-reload instead of just eating up my pennies, I'm on my way! +::Dance

Actually, this is a really nice game. Despite the occasional glitches with dropping and battle slowness, it's definitely worth playing. I'm hoping that Zack shows up again. I'm pretty sure Donna thinks so, too.

Although I didn't have any lagging or other problems, I did download the game again from one of the links given to me via email, but it's still the last version (1.4.6).

BTW, after downloading the game again from the link given to me by BMT Micro, I can now no longer use those links, but get the following message: File Download Error - The Password is blocked.

I have no idea why that happened after I downloaded the game again. However, the links to download this game should not expire, as it says in the email.
