Lost in the Garden of Balnuunla!

Can anyone tell me how to make it out of this place? I'm just plain frustrated at this point. I found the first point where I had to leave a party member behind. I found a second one (at the squirrels' home) where I needed to abandon another party member. I've found the mushroom which told me not to talk to the witch. I found the Holocaust Wraith on Witch Peak, but no witch. I found the little girl who asked about the Nanybawel. I found the path through the clouds which lead me to where I assume the Oracle *should* be, but isn't. Is there something else I'm supposed to trigger? I'm getting pretty fed up, having been lost here for at least 6 hours altogether. Suggestions?
