After 100 hours of LF2 am unable to open game.

After closing down today and attempting to play tonight I get message that "windows cannot access the specified device,path,or file. You may not have appropriate permission to access this item." What has caused this and what can I do? I tried downloading LF2 again and still get this message. I just bought the game on the 18th and today is the 20th and don't understand why this is happening. If I can get LF2 working again (with your good help) will I lose all the progress I made? Thanks for much needed help!!

You are not likely to lose files unless they are deleted or get corrupted.
Still, it looks like a problem with your computer. Something changed in it.

You aren't using vista are you? Sometimes I get messages like that even though I have used it before and have to make sure I open it as admin.
Your save files should be safe somewhere - again where depends on your operating system.

Sometimes your memory gets slam full and if you just turn your machine off for 20 or 30 seconds and then restart, the problem will be fixed.
At least that's how we fixed it!!
