The walkthrough says that it is trapped but it gives electrician and scientist gloves. Whenever I try to open it, it is Game Over. Just thought I'd let you know.

Okay. I ignored that blue chest and went to the other ones. Got the sword and eventually killed the robos. Then I went to the other side and finished them off. After that, on a chance, I saved and opened that exploding blue chest. Great! No explosion and I got both sets of gloves.

Sometimes on trapped chests, you just have to have enough hit points/resistance to live through it!! Glad you got it!
