I imported a saved game from MM2 where I aleady had promoted my charaters. For example, Marine was a Shiva in MM2 and she shows up as a Shiva in MM3; however, when I went back the temple to promote my new characters, I was asked if Marine wanted to be promoted. Not sure if this is a glitch or not, since I could change Marine to being something other than a Shiva. Just curious.

I noticed this too. And it seems that the new promotions are just adding to the older ones, not replacing them, because my Abu is both Forest Hunter and Bekembe-Bakala.

Yup it's a glitch and I feel kinda stupid cuz it was fixed but for some reasons the fix was removed just before the release.
I'll put it back obviously but it's not a "bad" glitch for you players XD

You can do it once in fact.
At least the glitch does not affect non-importing files which are the most challenging ones to begin with so pheeew, morale is saved XD

I was actually more surprised with going to the martial arts guild and being told to come back after reaching each level 30, 40 & 50 with no trainings +::O_o

I imported game.

and "The Orc Avenger disappears" keeps popping up and scaring the begeezies out of me while roaming about +::biggrin

Is he supposed to pop up?

For that I could only promote Merline as Boom Girl or Big Girl. Abu was is a Forest Hunter,Marine is a Spirited Soul, Benoit is a Hand Master and Jezabel is a Whip Master.

Jack and James can both be promoted to Warrior and Salome has three different option but I don't remember what they are. Next time through, I'll write them down.

My question is what happened to the items that we had in MM1 and MM2 that made Hirado a Body Master and Abu a Swamp Warrior and Jezebal Electra.

Those are not affected by the glitch though. ^^
