Can't find Hirado

I'm probably the only one who can't locate Hirado. I know he's in secret room 14 and I know I've been there before according to the screen shot but missed the room. I've killed the dragon and am on my way to Green Grass. But before leaving I have to find Hirado in case I can't get back. Would someone please give a hint of where SR 14 is.

Somewhere in the caves before the Orc Fortress (you see a purple smoke leading you there)
Can't go there anymore if you blew up the fortress.

Not exactly related, but anyone knows if you need Hirado for any quest?

I did indeed blow up the fortress. I assume now that Hirado isn't necessary. Well, I'll find out as I progress. Thanks
