After you dynamite the temple there is no way to get back in to get the tool box. There is no dynamite to get Patrick out of the barrell for his mother.

You can get back if you enter through the hungry cave.

Sorry I tried that and the place where you jump down is not there any more and would not let me go down

hmmm when entering the cave you should have a choice: fortress or hungry cave.

Yes is says lift or cave and I went into cave. I went to the place where you go down to the entrails but would not let me jump down. Now poor Patrick cannot get out of the rocks and I have to blow up the temple. Poor Patrick. I just tried again to be sure and it will not let me go down. So my quandry is how to save a dynamite to get Patrick. I cant and I am not going to start again for the 3rd time. I have stopped playing now because I am very frustrated.

Patrick must be rescued before you blow up the temple.

Yep I figured that out but cant get out of the temple to do that and then come back to blow it up or like D-Squall says not to blow it up but then dont have any dynamite. So I am between a rock and a hard place. Need dynamite but cant have any to get out of the temple. Nowhere else to get dynamite

if the orc lord is still alive, you can exit the fortress w/o blowing it up

There is one more place to get dynamite if you've blown up the orc fortress.
