Blood assasin Trials

I entered the blood lust cave and the lady inside told Wendie to cut her arms and not to cure the bleeding. I was wondering, If I let her die, will I fail the trial? It's getting impossible for me to keep her alive I'm very short on healing items and nobody in the party has healing of reviving spells.

look for the end of the trial - exit cave and head left , jump across the brown road and head down and around there find someone who will help end it
