Hondler in Elevator

Hondler in Elevator

I'm at the part where you fight Hondler in the elevator, and he his nigh impossible to beat. In addition to being able to possibly kill 1 or 2 party members at the beginning of the fight, he can often attack twice, has a good 'attack-all' technique, and often gets at least one of his two hits in before the party can hardly do anything. Help? I beat the GC, and I know there's only a bit of game left, so I really want to finish LFIII once and for all. What's a good strategy to beat Hondler?

PS.Any other roadblocks (AKA. really hard boss-fights,) I should know about?

Get your PDF and speed really high. There are good PDF raising items in a computer shop (the same room as where you put the access card in).

Just before every Hondler / Guidibba fight, use all temporary boosting items like Tij Herb, Dahr Herb, Hero Cream, etc. At least for the first few rounds, you will be in good shape.

You can also go all out on healing items - use Holy Water to restore all HP in one go, and so on.

Good luck - you only have a few more fights with Hondler and two with Guidibba and you are done!

If you have a lot of those good items like Necroleech and so on, start using them!

The combos did it for me actually, after I got wiped out by him at least 35 times. If you manage to last one round (sigh) sometimes baretta's box can inflict some stuff on him, provided it's not heroism -thanks a lot for that btw haha- and once you've damaged him a bit he starts to be more sensitive to conditions. I think i burned him, fragmented him, fear-ed him, wrath-ed him, diminished him, slowed him, delayed him...all in the same fight so who knows, maybe it'll work for you. Or maybe I'm just a really, really lucky creature.
