You could try with the Orb of Metal, and maybe even zombify him (her? it?)

All this broff unhappiness makes me think someone should replay using broff as much as possible to see if there are any secret weapons or equipment for him ; /

How'd you beat this with Joshua? None of his spells damage Linda. Did you use a spellbook on him?

Also how far are you guys getting with broff? Which monster?

Joshua - equip him with the Double Trion, so he hits first. Also Brain-Dazzler and Mind Diadema and his shield Aegeon. I gave him the Ultai Armor.

Then use his spell Ante-Psalm.

For the first two rounds, you can just do "hit", the enemies don't damage him.
For the next three, use the spell. You take two rounds to kill everyone, but you can take one hit, and heal yourself between rounds. Fairly straightforward.

** I just remembered - in case you don't have Ante-Psalm yet, you can get it from the fairy/lady in the Mage Guild via Learn new spells / learn fast your spells. I got it in LF2.

Whoah...I hit a brick wall with the last 9 characters, about the same list you have.

One is doable that's Cindy, I just need to get her to 59 for her furia spell.

The other 8 I will have to examine more closely and try to use spellbooks and training. Broff/oglong/daryl/vanina simply require more training. Kenny/claria/marylis/leanda might require some spellbooks, I'll have to find out.

Gonna do legendra tower for kicks right now, won't have much time to do more for a couple days have things to do.
