I have jumped across to the ledge and have tried to go right, but every time that I do, it is like the characters have a mind of their own and go right and instantly go up. I then get knocked back and have to try again. Any suggestions. Thanks.

With Daryl, use his card in the item menu, is the first item of the list, then you need to activate the buttons, by choosing the first options and then D-Dec I think, it will charge the buttons, when you activate the D-Dec, you can use the yellow and bule buttons to inflict status on him like Attack and Defense down.
But also it's good to use the first option and use the S and Z buttons to low his paramenters.
It's a long battle
