underwater 2nd time?

i finished saving random and did not finished to the colony quest, because its to hard to win with xander team.
my question is, if i go out of the underwater can i come later with random team? or i sould do the quest before going to ulati.

Not sure where to post so I will post here. Has anyone figured out in the underwater area about Barbara? She says" I belong to Dagon, I want to be sacrificed". I had Wendala in my party but nothing.

Also has anyone got to the fairy in this underwater area? Maybe these two characters lead to nothing but maybe something?
