Can't get back from Left Factory

I've killed Hondler twice, and Guidibba, etc., and now I can't find my way back. The maps don't help because you have to read them backwards (and I have a tough enough time reading them normally). Can someone tell me (using words) what route to use? I must be missing something, but I've been all over the corridor, Satellite control, & etc., and I can't find the elevator (which I assume is what I'm looking for). Help!
