Storm of the century spell book

Hi!
Where can I get this spell book? I don't recall seeing it in LF 1 or LF 11.
It looks as though I might have to go back about fourteen hours of gameplay to arrive at Djarma's palace again. It's the second time. (Aargh!!!)

I need to know:
1. Is it essential to the gameplay and the game outcome that the Arena bit is completed? I haven't bothered because the fighting is tedious and I was always getting beaten.
2. Is it essential that Alexandra's dream sequence on the lost island is completed? I couldn't do that either and gave up. It's the second dream sequence I couldn't complete but the previous one still gave me the rewards when I returned with teh mermaid. I didn't have to kill the little fish.
3. Is it essential that all the characters have a high level? I am in easy mode, surprise surprise, and while my favourite characters are high e.g. 60's,70's and 80's most of the others are fiftyish with some in the 40's. I find it difficult to deal with such a large number of characters.

That's all for now, I think.
Incidentally, what's Gaz Shape mean?

Thanks.

Storm of The Century:
- According to the walkthrough, you could get it in LF1 for burglaring a house in Adretana, also, I believe that one of the NPCs in the Adretana Palace could sell you this book if you were lucky (in LF1, again).
- It is also possible to get this book from a chest in LF3 in Chapter 12, see this topic http://www.aldorlea.org/officialsite/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=139&t=6484 - paragraph 106:

1. Completing Arena is not necessary to the gameplay, you only get some (very) good rewards for it and good feeling. :)

2. Again, completing Alexandra's dreams isn't necessary, but you get great boosts for doing so, and without these boosts it's basically impossible to win the Arena with her. (At least on Hard mode, on easy mode it is probably not so mandatory.)

3. Well, high levels are helpful, not necessary. But remember, LF3 is a tricky game, and without characters leveled and equipped enough, you may simply get to the point where you are unable to continue and have to load older save and level... (This is especially true in parts, where you party is "given", so you cannot choose your strongest characters.)

3. Gaz Shape - see this topic http://www.aldorlea.org/officialsite/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=111&t=4339

Thanks Tomas
I went back to Kondler and bought the storm of the century book, so that's done. She has now got through the arena, on her third attempt.

I find it difficult choosing characters to level up because while that is happening the main characters are losing out.

In one thread I read Indenera made a comment to the effect to just relax and enjoy the game. I'm going to do my best to do that. Thanks for your help and I bet I'll be back with more questions.

Fighting Fire elementals in the Fire Guild is quite a good way to level your other characters. You need a weapon for Random that makes enough damage to them (Legendary Blade doesn't work here) and Wendala with 2-hit weapon and enough Strength to take an elemental down with one strike.
Then you are able to take down all three of them with Random and Wendala only (apart from occasional misses) and you are able to level two of your other characters comfortably, no matter if they are able to hurt the elementals or not.
You get something like 600-700 XP per round (with Seed Pendants), thus getting all of your characters to at least level 50 is not so painful.

I'd forgotten about the Fire Guild training. I used it earlier to level a couple of characters up. There are about 10 characters under L50. And the main four characters are 86 Random, 73 Luci, 72 Sarah and 68 Wendi. I'm nearing the end of Ch 12 part 1. Hopefully, I can level up in the next chapter as well as doing the training.
Thanks.

Could someone please tell me where in Kondler I can purchase Storm of the Century. I've been all over and haven't found anyone selling it. Thanks!

I think that's before you enter the actual town. On the screen where you get off the ship there's a guy inside the building who sells the book.
