House of Vision present

Hello!Can somebody tell me if the disappearing present in the House of vision is a joke or not?I noticed that when you click the last switch back to off,the present appears again.
Do you need to have a specific person (or pet) in your party?Or come back at a later time?I've just got rid of the virus in Random's body.
By the way, a big thanks to all the people for the walkthroughs,save files and tips.I would have missed half the stuff and tons of quests without them!
