Wait wait wait... WHAT???? It's impossible. There are 3 Optional Characters! Cocka-Cocka from LFI! And Cindy and Broff from LFII! Indy!!!!!! Wait... Does that mean... one of the optional characters joins you in LFIII if you didin't got him/her/it!!!!!!!!

You said before there were 40 playable characters. Then after counting the optional ones you said there are 42. But there are 3 optional characters. Cocka-Cocka Cindy and Broff. That means one of them is going to join the party if you didn't get him/her in the previous games. Right?

no, when i was saying 40, it was an approximation, including the opt ones.
now i've counted exactly and there are 42.

Oh now I get it. Without the optional ones there is 39 not 40.

42 characters? That means 6 of them aren't required to get the ultimate ArenA prize? That's a good news, because in LF II, Alexandra was pretty weak even with a "Vahla" weapon, and she lacked good spells. And Broff didn't seem strong enough as well (unless he gets some strong spells at higher levels). I only hope most of the new characters will be rather strong than a bunch of additional 20 "Petulas", "Alexandras", or "Vaninas". +:::|

Well, Alexandra and Vaninas, but Petula wasn't all that bad if you used him right, and judging by that LFIII Alxendra promo a while back, she might very well be getting an upgrade gameplay-wise.

You know, even if Indie won't tell us, I think we it's okay to predict what already established characters that were temporary, unplayable, or just mentioned, will be among the 42 (39 for non-imports,). Possible characters could be; Djarma's team, Zanbard (though he's a bit of a stretch,) Xander and his team, and some of Wendala's old masters. That's not counting the inevitable new characters.

It would be cool to see such a list develop lol
