Ok SurferGranny be prepared for a nasty storm. Nasty nasty lightening and thunder. All the outside kitties were at my house (can't imagine why since none of them are mine, but I feed them all) and they were terrified. They all hid in my lanai. Flooded our main street and had to reroute traffic. Poured buckets. I had to turn everything off. The other day we had a bad one and it hit the transformer three houses down from me. My landlady (lives next door) was on the phone and it blew the phone out of her hand and across the room.

We had one like that up in North Idaho when I lived there. Blew out just about everything electric all around us! Even burned up phone lines that weren't connected to anything!! We'll get ready!

For what it's worth, I live in southern Idaho and every time we have a storm it blows all the power out.

It IS nice & sunny (except when it rains, ) And you have to take into account the fact that I live on the end of the power grid. Solitude does have a price, I guess.
