What kind of strategies have you tried? What's effective? Like do you try zombifying everyone and just getting through on attacks alone, or are most people better off using their skills or what?

Nash is the dragon from the quest given by the guards before you get to the Metrolian counter with Luci and her party back towards the beginning of the game.

Edit: woohoo just won with Kommender. The reward is a book that teaches you some comet spell.

And another edit: the Double Trion ring is earned by Lilly. I highly recommend doing Lilly first to get this ring, it ROCKS. Lily is really easy to win with as well.

Sorry, I just remembered - there is a spell called "Oracle Kaj Cruz" - got it in a chest in the desert in Ultai. It is a very good attack spell, and works on Linda.

I had Alexandra at level 74 or so, and she was faster than Linda too.
Took me a couple of tries, but not impossible with these spells.

I suggest you do the desert as early as possible. You get a couple of spellbooks, an Ultimate weapon good for Alexander (MPC x 0.25) and you can finish the "Find the Oasis" quest. You can always come back with Daryl to do the "Contamination" quest.

Kommender was level 59. He starts at 55 or 56 on your team, I got to 59 when I was getting all my other people to level 50.

Equipment he only has 2 customizable slots, equip what makes sense, I think the shield is electrician glove (not hero key, you'll see why) and the other one was obvious whatever it was.

His weapon naturally hits twice and that's what you'll be using the entire time.

The trick is: between fights, use his special Heal move. It will restore his hp to full and give him Weapon Boost for the next fight.

Don't use his other spells, they are junk compared to his attack.

Linda naturally takes some luck, but he only needs a couple of free rounds to smash her.

Do you know - I forgot about zombification!! Will try it next, thanks.

My strategy so far has simply been to level up and find some good equipment. The problem with Oglong and Broff is that they have no good equipment, poor defence and poor attack. I noticed that the Orb of Metal boosts Broff's defence, so might try that.

I was so happy when Oglong got two good spells after lvl 70, but they all take some rounds to do damage, and Oglong simply does not survive that long. I was so upset at Oglong, I decided to drop him for the global wars .

The others, I did not spend much time with, wanted to finish the game and see the ending. Will get them on the next pass.

If only some of these characters (like Sandy) can learn a good Heal spell. They can survive a couple of rounds, but don't have the HP to live through all rounds taking damage each time.
