Which weapon did you use? As far as I know, the only elements the Phoenix God is vulnerable to are Laxius and Air, so I'm trying to kill it with Ketakeri Blade (three attempts per turn, average damage per one succesfull attempt is 350, the hit rate is about 1/2).

i am seriously upset right now, i am fighting him for 1 hour and half and still he lives, I've dealt him about 100k+ dmg...what the heck???

edit: done 170k dmg and still lives

I'm afraid he has 999999 HPs - the highest number RMXP recognizes (unless Indi made him secretly recover at some point, which would allow him to have "virtual" 2000000 HPs or even more).

Edit: I measured a fragment of the fight with Phoenix God on my watch, and I estimated damage dealt per minute as 2000. Since the fight lasted about 8 hours, it's very likely the Phoenix God really has 999999 HPs.

Hehe just took him out in 10 seconds (but wendala wasn't alone).

Edit: You can measure his hp using the "Die or fight". I tryed using it to kill it but it didn't work. But at least you can see how much hp he has since it says that it recovers 100% hp (and it shows how much is recovered).

umm... you realize that killing the phoenix after you get sandy is not so great... cuz if you kill it before you talk to yveen... you can get two people from yveen instead of only one ^^

The battle takes eight hours, i had chaos orb on (the most important item... and the blood slave sword, the magdalena armor... monk bracers, i cant remember which helm... one with high evade anyways... the battle takes eight hours... so the chaos orb is important.. just start the battle and go to sleep, he will be dead when you wake up (and he cant hit u cuz of the high evade)

Just chose Sandy and make her fast so that she causes "Hell Cancer" before she is killed (it may miss but in 3 times it only missed one). And get Wendala with a lot of evade so that she isn't hit.
You cause 5/6 digits of damage for each of its attacks, so he didn't even attacked 10 times :D

I thought that there might be another cutscene like this one where the heart could be used (like in the end to get Julian) but if that's not the case, you're right, it isn't that great :P

From yesterday i use the same tactics with the evade and i fighting him more then 3 hours, but i shouldn't stop till it's dead.

If you want a easy tactic before you go to sleep just equipt Wendie with the evade items and a helmet with a berserk status (dark ambition or the fury helmet-whatever it's name was) and she will kill it while you sleep.It doesn't consume your time in the fight and it's easy.

I just read somewhere in this forum, I can't remember where sorry, but someone said that to beat the phoenix god you have to equip weapons that cause plague and have high evade and it can go down in one round. Dind't try it yet, but it's worth a shot.
