Can't seem to trigger the ice castle quest

At the fire quild I've not been given the ice castle quest - and I can't figure out how to trigger it. I've done all available quests, and have just come back from the institute with Daryl, have been inside Random's body and the walkthrough says to go to the fire guild and get transported to the ice castle but I can't!
Any ideas what i need to do to trigger it?
