i'm hoping someone has some advise for this. i absolutely despise the house of vision. i could almost start crying i'm getting so frustrated. i have to keep telling myself it's just a game. there is one stupid scorpiom thing that keeps chasing me everywhere then stops in the pathway making it imposible to exit out without dying. i can get the robe and finish alexanders quest but i have to die and lose 10% of my gold to get out and let all the switces be reset. i think i only have 1 or 2 switches left to turn on but the switch i'm on is one where that same scorpion blocks the path and keeps me from getting out of the room so i can go to the next gate i opened. no matter how i run around i cant lead the scorpion far enough away that i can get in and out of that room before he catches up. i dont want to come back here again so i hope desperately someone can help me. i dread the next time i play this game and have to do this all over again.

thanks

. if i was'nt such an obsessive person that would would be the best option. but unfortunately i am too obsessive to let it go easily. i've decided to finish alexanders quest and die so i can at least get the quest complete and the robe. it's so painful though to see the present on the other side of the gate and not be able to see whats inside. i was hoping there would be some special equipment somewhere down the line or a character thats immune to those scorpions, but i guess thats probably not going to happen. once i decided losing 10% percent of my gold was'nt that big a deal i felt fine about moving on. i'll just wait to read what was in that present when someone makes a walkthrough. also if i had'nt been playing this game for the last 6 hours i probably would'nt be getting so emotional. when it hit about 4am and i'd spent an hour in the house of vision i started to to get too tired for my own good. your games are just so above and beyond good that i cant stop playing since this my first real break where i can play as long as i want.

This area is tough, the red baddies are very unpredictable and really fast. I have not yet figured out the switches yet. There is a present(gift) in this area I have not got either. I did manage to get the
zombomancer cape for Alexander though, awesome addition for him

getting to this item is not so hard as most scorpions wander somewhere else ^^

If you add Fierce to your party, there is about 50/50 chance he will kick the scorpion several steps away. I managed to trigger all the switches, but when I opened the door leading to the room with the present, the present disappeared.

Note that the best item I found for Xander is the Conch of Dreams - MPC x 0.25 or so.
Xander now casts his spells with impunity!

The problem I am having is after I flip the first 2 switches, it opens a gate in the upper right but there are two scorpions stuck in the now open doorway and it is impossible to pass them. Is this where the third switch is? I have tried it several times and cannot get them to move down or up at all. Any ideas? The first switch blocks a lot of scorpions in a room then I go up to the next room and flip a switch on that opens the upper right room gate - this is where the scorpions are. Thanks for any ideas!

If you go back to the room where you got Xander's cape, they usually move to the other side of the room but one of them is really fast so you have to run in and run out quick. There is a chest in that room too I think. I don't remember what was in it but if you run straight to the top right corner to flip the switch then straight across the room to the chest then down and time it just right you can get both.

Ok, I am feeling really stupid here as I have been through the whole house, hit all the switches I found but all I found was a shield. In which room in the robe/cloak?
