When parties merge with the main party, do the items that they acquired merge also?

Like the items that Xander brought with him.

And when you get Timbany and ??forgot the name, do those items merge from the time you were in the pyramid?

I had 99 Golden Pearls. If they do merge, I need to have Sarah refine the ones I have in my inventory before the parties merge.

OK. I have Djarma and TImbany in my party and no pearls. I know they were in the original. Do I have to find them in the palace? Is there a time line for getting the stuff?

Which part of the game is that?

After going to Kondor for the first time, you go back to the throne room and the monkey is there to take you to see Djarma.

I went and Djarma and Timbany joined me but no items/pearls.
