For xander's team? With random's team I could just rush through about everything, but xander is INCREDIBLY annoying. I have to heal or revive or restore mana after every battle. Using xander/guad/rosa/petula, in their 50s.

make xander pre-emptive i would say ^^

Is there a spell that is really good? Seems like rosa is doing all the damage ; /

I equipped everyone with malachite stone and anti fish weapons, but it is rough going.

i believe xander should have many spells that do damages against them..

Man this place was annoying. Too many of the visible/fixed fights respawn IMO.

I've edited it a bit so they don't respawn as easily.

Yeah, best strategy really is to get comfortable and truck on.
Seriously though, I had Brussian with the jaws that the sea monster dropped, which are really good and petula with the ones that you get underwater that are also really good and the double hit shield thing. And xander pre emptive. And guanidia. none of them are over 80 in my game, either. it just takes patience i guess.

i think your Xander is too low.. he's quite powerful if you equip him right... try the brain dazzler and darkness touch for a pre-emptive ...

brain dazzler will pretty much double your mind power and slice your mana costs down to 0.4 i believe.. maybe even less... it's an ultimate helmet to be had at the mage guild shop right at the beginning with wendala's team.

xander makes the underwater stuff so easy......... his spells are more effective than luciana's sometimes, lots of straight damage spells with many different elements.... once you get him above 70 he has many very powerful spells, definitely worth leveling.

This is my favorite area of the game. I bought "Mechu Nachlyte's" from the aqua guild and other water related items. It did make battling easier. I managed to gain around 15 to 20 levels for most characters underwater. After I exhausted the crystal zapoos I just found areas where certain monster respawn and you get around 1800 EXP per battle.There still are the normal zapoos of course on one island but only give 1080 EXP or 1300 EXP if you equip the seed pendant.

Can you tell me which characters won't go underwater? I'm just before the airport, and trying to level up all characters.

If the underwater world has level-up goodness, I might just jump in with both feet!

I think I would throw my computer out the window if I didn't import. Darkness touch is from LF1's baretta shop, can't imagine how you would give xander preemptive+ without it.

Trying to level up Kratin, Nash (and Petula, but she's already high level).

Crystal Zapoo - these guys are tough! I think I need a spellcaster - maybe go back and get Luciana ...
